My family and I had just moved after my high school graduation and I was new in town. During the few months after relocating, I searched for a job and signed up for classes at a junior college. One of my old friends from school had moved to the same place a few years earlier and I ended up running into her at the store. She invited me out to a Halloween party the following week. I went with her to the party and that night, Taylor caught my eye. Throughout the evening, I would find myself looking in his direction and we would lock eyes and turn away both embarrassed. We didn't officially meet that night but a week after the Halloween party I was invited to a BBQ. Tayor just happened to be there.
